After extensive development with our academic and industry partners, the Digital4Security Hybrid Master’s in Cybersecurity Management and Data sovereignty is launching, and applications are now open for the first cohort starting 29 September 2025.
Digital4Security is a bold, EU co-funded initiative to train the next generation of cybersecurity leaders in Europe. If you’re a recent graduate or working professional interested in transforming your career through cybersecurity skills, read on for all the key details.
What this master’s offers
Europe needs skilled cybersecurity leaders who can manage risk, protect data sovereignty and make confident decisions under pressure. The Digital4Security master’s delivers exactly that — a rigorous, career-focused programme that blends academic depth with real-world application.
- Format: Hybrid — live online modules plus short, in-person intensives
- Length: 2 years (4 semesters)
- Language: English
- Suitable for: Recent graduates and working professionals
- Target fields: Tracks aligned with eight official ENISA (European Union Agency for Cybersecurity) profiles, from chief information security officer to digital forensics investigator, risk manager, or cyber threat intelligence specialist.
Who’s running the first intake?
POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest (UPB) will deliver the inaugural cohort. Founded in 1818, UPB is Romania’s leading technical university with a strong track record in engineering and computing. As the academic lead, UPB combines deep research credentials with hands-on teaching, industry links and applied labs.
What you’ll study
Across core and optional modules plus supervised projects, you’ll build technical, managerial, legal and ethical capability. Topics include:
- Cybersecurity culture, strategy and leadership
- AI and emerging threats
- Risk management in cyber-physical systems
- Ethical hacking and malware analysis
- Cybersecurity law and data sovereignty
- Cloud infrastructure and enterprise architecture
You’ll work on practical assignments, collaborate with peers across Europe and engage with industry mentors, graduating ready to assess risk, communicate clearly and lead.
